The first season for XFL under the leadership of Dwayne Johnson and ex-wife Dany Garcia started earlier this year in February. The opening day of the new season saw a special speech from the male XFL co-owner and a tremendous victory of the Arlington Renegades over the Vegas Vipers.
Big NFL names like Josh Gordon, Martavis Bryant and Brett Hundley, Paxton Lynch, and A.J. McCarron are playing for Seattle Sea Dragons, Vegas Vipers, Orlando Guardians, and St. Louis Battlehawks respectively. There are many other top NFL names playing this XFL season except for the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Johnson’s recent Twitter post indicates that Travis Kelce is not a part of this year’s XFL season. Recently, XFL Houston Roughnecks head coach, Wade Phillips, shared a photo of himself standing alongside Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs teammate. In his tweet, Phillips thanked the “very best TE in all of football” for clicking a picture with him.
DJ retweeted the post and mentioned that he would “love to see” the NFL TE in the XFL season. Sharing a throwback memory with his fans, he confessed the NFL star would mock him, saying that he wouldn’t be able to recruit a two-time Super Bowl Champion, which appears to be the case.
