Prince Archie to miss out on tribute from King Charles following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision

Prince Archie is to miss out on a tribute from King Charles at the Coronation.

Archie Harrison’s fourth birthday falls on May 6 2023, the same day as landmark Royal Family event.

Meghan Markle is set to stay in California with her son to celebrate his birthday whilst Prince Harry attends the Coronation.

The Duke of Sussex will only attend the ceremony before swiftly heading back to the US to be with his son on the evening of his birthday.

According to a source, King Charles was considering holding a toast to Prince Archie at the Coronation lunch to mark his birthday.

However, this is now unlikely to happen due to Prince Harry deciding not to attend the banquet.

The source told the Mail: “The King considered a toast to Archie.

“But with no member of the Sussex family now due at the lunch, it is highly unlikely he would do in their absence.”

It comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s brand is set for a major boost according to a Netflix source.

Last week the Duke of Sussex confirmed he would attend King Charles’s Coronation.

The announcement put an end to months of speculation surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attendance at the event.

A source at Netflix told the MailOnline that the company was relieved Prince Harry was going to the Coronation as his brand strength is linked to his proximity to the King.

They said: “Harry is going back for all the right reasons but there was a palpable sigh of relief among those of us involved in the business because Brand Sussex relies on Harry being seen with his family.”

The source added: “At the end of the day it is all about proximity to the King.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a deal with Netflix in 2020 following their decision to step down as working members of the Royal Family.

According to Forbes the five-year-deal with the streaming service is worth $100million.
