Swiatek opens up on embracing weakness: “I am only human and sometimes people forget that”

World No.1 Iga Swiatek recently gave some insight into the importance of embracing her weakness, as most people expect her to always win.

After missing the Miami Open due to a rib injury, Swiatek has been ramping up her preparations for the European clay-court season. The Polish star opened up about some aspects of her life, particularly her weaknesses, in an interview with Twoj Styl magazine.

“I allow myself to have weaknesses. I am only human and sometimes people forget that,” Swiatek said. “Is the fact that I have crises my weakness? I don’t think so.”

Furthermore, the reigning French Open champion revealed she gets criticized for shedding tears after a loss, but believes that should be seen as normal as screaming in joy after a victory.
